Stree 2 has gained a lot of popularity due to the unique concept of horror and comedy, which grabbed viewers’ attention and earned huge profits; now, after the theatrical release, most people who missed theatres are looking for a Stree 2 OTT release.
Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s [Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank] gained a successful name at the box office and is the most successful film this year. Stree Part 2 crossed the collections of Animal Movie of Ranbir Kapoor, and now it is the second highest-grossing Indian film of the year. According to IMDb, the worldwide collection of Stree 2 is Rs. 874 crores and still counting. Kalki 2898 AD has earned more than Stree 2, Rs. 1052 crore this year.
Stree 2 OTT Platform is Amazon Prime Video
The first part of Stree movies is available on Disney+Hotsar for subscribed viewers. Here, the suspense thing is that Stree Part 2 is unavailable on Hotstar. It is available on Amazon Prime Video. A main thing to remember is that when you have to rent a movie, a subscription is not enough to watch Stree 2. Rent a movie for Rs. 349; after renting, viewers have 30 days from the rental date. However, once you start playing the rented movie, you have at least 48 hours to complete watching it.
Stree 2 OTT Release Date is September 26, 2024. This is only for those renting the movie on the Prime Video Platform.
Stree 2 is the fifth movie of Dinesh Vijan’s Horror comedy as a producer; Amar Kaushik is the director of both Stree and Stree 2. Other movies directed by Amar are Bala, Bhediya, Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga and Munjya.
If you haven’t watched Stree Part 2 movie in theatres, you can watch it on OTT; Stree 2 movies got hype due to the Tamannah song “Aaj Ki Raat”. Actors like Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, and Tamannah got cameo roles in the film.
Stree (2018) was written by Raj & DK, whereas Stree 2 was written by Niren Bhatt. Raj & DK were not part of Stree 2 because there were some disagreements between producer Dinesh Vijan related to rights to the franchise.
Raj & DK are famous names in Bollywood due to their excellent movies and series like Go Goa Gone, The Family Man, Farzi, Guns & Gulaabs, and many more. Their upcoming series is Citadel: Honey Bunny, with a star cast of Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
Amar Kaushik is planning something big. If you have watched Mujnya film, you can see the last part where Varun Dhawan and Abhishek Banerjee have a scene which is a part of Bhediya movie; here in Stree 2 also, you can see Varun Dhawan appear. Like a Lokesh Cinematic Universe of Tamil action movies, Amar plans a Horror comedy cinematic universe.
According to Wikipedia, the Street 2 filmmaking budget is approximately 50 to 120 crores. The leading cast of Stree Part 2 is Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana.
After watching the film Stree Part 2 got to know that, it’s a 80% of comedy movie and 20% is just a little bit of horror. Now a days commercial film makers are focusing on comedy instead of horror, because comedy movies are earning profits and horror movies are gaining profits as much as comparing to comedy.
This year, in 2024, this is the second most earned movie after Kalki of Prabhas, now Jr. NTR’s Devara, has been released in theatres. Let’s see how much a Devara film will earn.
